NLUG July 08 BBQ

J&S Computers hosted the July B&P this past weekend on Saturday, July 19, from 2 - 4pm. We gathered initially on owners Jake and Sandys very nicely sized deck, next to a wonderful waterfall garden. After we ate, Jake passed out informational packets and then spoke briefly about his Linux business. The members then packed into his 12x16 shop for a self tour of his shop (yes more then 14 of then at once!). As usual everybody got connected to J & S Computers wireless network and right away, devices appeared and connected. Linux Ubuntu disks were passed around, disccusions had, and hopefully a good time was enjoyed by all who attended.

Jake wants to personally let all who attended know that he enjoyed hosting the B&P. He hopes to be hosting another sometime in the future. He said to let each and every member who attended know much he enjoyed meetting them and getting to know a bit about them. He also announced at the cookout that all NLUG members will receive a 10% discount on any services at J& S Computers. Guests demand to be fed!

Just like college ... How many can we pack in a phone booth?

..... The answer to how mant NLUG Members can be packed into Jakes 12x16 shop was more then a dozen! ... 15 to be exact!

Members enjoyed the shade of the deck initially... but the afternoon heat got to us eventually and we ran for the cool A.C. inside to eat and hang out!

Members who attended were fed hamburgers, hot dogs from a very large grill along with potato salad, chips, fresh fruit, cold drinks and a warm helping of southern hospitality.

... As the afternoon wound down it finally cooled and we went back outside to enjoy the breeze.
